SJM organises visit to the National Security Education Exhibition promoting patriotic spirit amongst staff
Sociedade de Jogos de Macau, S.A. (“SJM”) organised a group visit of 50 staff members to the National Security Education Exhibition on 19 Apr 2021, under the coordination of SJM Staff Welfare Consultative Committee, aiming to deepen the understanding of the staff members on national security and promoting the patriotic spirit of “Loving the Motherland and Macau”. The exhibition was co-organised by the Macau SAR Government and the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Macau SAR.
This year’s National Security Education Exhibition, supported by illustrations and videos, covered four topics: “National Security amid Unprecedented Changes in the New Era”, “Pursuing a Holistic Approach to National Security in Shaping a Safe Nation”, “Upholding National Security and Ensuring the Stability of the ‘One Country, Two Systems’ Principle”, and “Safeguarding National Security as the Responsibility of All Chinese People”.
During a guided tour at the exhibition, SJM staff members deepened their understanding on national security with focus on anti-pandemic initiatives taken by the government in the past year. The exhibition illustrated the preventive measures launched in Mainland China and Macau. It also provided an opportunity for staff members to learn more about the importance of safeguarding national sovereignty and security against a backdrop of complex internal and external challenges, and to raise awareness on national security and law-abiding which are important to Macau’s long-term prosperity and stability.
Ms. Angela Leong, Managing Director of SJM and Chairman of the SJM Staff Welfare Consultative Committee, said, “As a local company deeply rooted in Macau, SJM has been supporting its staff members on active participation in patriotic education. Through the exhibition, our members have come to know more about the importance of national security and their responsibilities to protect the integrity of our nation.”
