
SJM hosts vocational skills competition award ceremony
Hosted by Sociedade de Jogos de Macau, S.A. (“SJM”), the SJM vocational skills competition was held successfully with the award ceremony held at Grand Lisboa’s Grand Ballroom on 29 March 2021. The competition comprised five categories, namely, gaming and entertainment, Chinese culinary arts, Western culinary arts, housekeeping, as well as hotel facilities and maintenance. The activity was under the coordination of SJM Staff Welfare Consultative Committee (“SWCC”).
This was SJM’s first large-scale vocational skills competition for its staff members. Ms. Angela Leong, Managing Director of SJM and Chairman of SWCC, said in her speech that the competition had provided a platform of exchange for staff members, where they could showcase their professionalism and creativity. SJM also aimed to enhance employees’ vocational skills through friendly contests, and to promote communication between its staff and the company, leading to mutual benefits. Winners of the competition will represent the company to participate in open championships.
